We have over 20 varieties of home made frozen pies. Which perfect because you can take them home stick them in the freezer and bake them on Christmas… not only will you house smell AMAZING but you are more than welcome to take credit for all the hard work that went into the delicious pie that your family just enjoyed. All our pies are homemade (no machines) so all the great homemade flavor minus the effort.

Mother Lode Orchards sells and uses only the best and freshest ingredients in El Dorado County! All the homemade pies and jams use the best fruits and only half the sugar as leading pies. Patrick’s motto is “elegance is simplicity”. By this he means the pies and jams are simply made using minimal ingredients so that you are able to taste the quality and purity of the finest fruits around! The pies are made with basic spices (cinnamon, nutmeg and sugar) to compliment the fruit and not overpower, and nothing else added. When you taste these pies you taste the pure quality of the fruit! Additionally, when making his homemade cider, only the best ingredients go into making this fresh, simple 100% pure juice.
All of the vegetables are grown and cared for with the utmost care and quality to produce the most delicious, flavorful vegetables you have ever had! The tomato varieties are sweet and colorful, what child wouldn’t love to eat these for a snack?! All the vegetables are free from pesticide sprays and are all hand grown and picked to perfection.

Gala- Gala apples are small and are usually red with a portion being greenish or yellow-green, vertically striped. Gala apples are fairly resistant to bruising and are sweet, grainy, with a mild flavor and a thinner skin than most apples. Quality indices include firmness, crispness, and sweetness. Jonagold- Jonagold is a cultivar of apple, a cross between Golden Delicious and Jonathan which was developed in 1953 in New York. They form a large sweet fruit with a thin skin. Because of their large size they are now favoured by commercial growers in many parts of the world. Jonagold is triploid, and as such requires a second type of apple for pollen and is incapable of providing pollen for other trees. |
